Hanoi: Visiting the capital of Vietnam, you can discover the fusion between feudal architecture and French influence which is in harmony with modern infrastructure.
Halong Bay: This UNESCO Heritage site will stun you with mist-shrouded limestone karsts, turquoise beaches, and pristine bays.
Sapa: If you are interested in mountainous region of Northern Vietnam, don’t forget to include Sapa on your itinerary.
INTRODUCTION
Overview
This tour will take you to three best destinations in the North of Vietnam: Hanoi, Ha Long, and Sapa. With 6 days in Vietnam, you will have a chance to get a deeper insight into this region by sightseeing to some historic spots in Hanoi, cruising to the magnificent Ha Long Bay, and visiting ethnic hill tribes in Sapa.
Upon your arrival at Noi Bai – Hanoi International Airport, our tour guide will be holding a welcome signboard with Paradise Travel & your name outside the baggage claim area and escort you to Hanoi downtown with a brief introduction en route. Check in hotel.
Free to explore our city for the rest of the day.
08:30 – Your tour guide will pick you up from the hotel and depart for Ha Long Bay (approx. 2.5–3 hours by road).
11:30 – Arrive at the pier and embark on the cruise. Enjoy a welcome drink, followed by a safety briefing and cruise introduction. Check in to your cabin.
13:15 – Lunch is served on board while the boat cruises through the magnificent Ha Long Bay. Admire fascinating limestone formations before anchoring near Titop Island.
15:00 – 16:00 – Visit the impressive Sung Sot (Surprise) Cave, one of the largest and most beautiful caves in Ha Long Bay.
16:00 – 17:00 – Continue to Titop Island. Climb to the summit for a breathtaking panoramic view of the bay, or relax and swim at the sandy beach below.
17:20 – Return to the cruise. Relax on the sundeck and watch the magical sunset while enjoying Happy Hour at the bar.
18:00 – Happy Hour continues with special drink promotions.
19:00 – 21:00 – Enjoy a delicious dinner on board featuring fresh local seafood and Vietnamese specialties.
21:00 – 22:00 – Evening leisure: join squid fishing with the crew, sing karaoke, play board games, or simply relax on deck or in your cabin. Overnight on the cruise.
Morning: Start the day with breakfast on board. Enjoy the cruise’s final activities such as a light excursion (floating village visit / kayaking / cave exploration – depending on the cruise program).
Return to the boat, check out of your cabin, and relax while the cruise sails back to the pier.
Brunch / early lunch is served on board before disembarkation.
11:00 – 11:30 – Disembark at Ha Long International Harbor. Meet your driver for the transfer back to Hanoi.
Afternoon: Arrive in Hanoi (around 14:30–15:00). Free time to relax, stroll in the Old Quarter, or enjoy an early dinner on your own.
Evening: Transfer to Hanoi Railway Station for the overnight train to Lao Cai (shared 4-berth soft-sleeper cabin).
Early Morning: After breakfast, depart from Lao Cai for a scenic drive to Bac Ha (around 2.5 hours), passing through picturesque mountain roads and ethnic minority villages.
Upon arrival, immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of the Bac Ha Sunday Market – the largest and most colorful market in the region.
Meet different ethnic groups such as the Flower Hmong, Tay, Nung, Phu La, and Dao, all dressed in their traditional, brightly embroidered costumes.
Explore stalls selling local produce, handicrafts, medicinal herbs, textiles, and livestock like buffalo, pigs, and horses.
Take time to interact with the locals, learn about their culture, and capture stunning photos of this authentic gathering.
Lunch at a local restaurant in Bac Ha.
In the afternoon, visit a nearby ethnic village to experience daily life and traditional customs, or take a short walk through the surrounding valleys and terraced fields.
Later, transfer back by car to Sapa (or return to Lao Cai, depending on your itinerary).
Evening: Check in to your hotel. Free time to relax or explore Sapa town at leisure. Overnight in Sapa.
Morning: After breakfast at your hotel, meet your guide for a full-day trek through the breathtaking Muong Hoa Valley.
Trek down to Lao Chai Village, home to the Black H’Mong ethnic minority. Learn about their unique culture, traditional farming practices, and handicrafts.
Continue walking to Ta Van Village, inhabited by the Dzay people, known for their warm hospitality and vibrant culture.
Lunch: Enjoy a picnic lunch en route or a home-cooked meal at a local family’s house, offering a chance to experience authentic village life.
Afternoon: Trek back towards Sapa, passing through rice terraces, bamboo forests, and scenic landscapes.
Return to your hotel for some rest. The remainder of the afternoon is free to explore Sapa Town and its local market.
Evening: After an early dinner, transfer by car to Lao Cai Station for the overnight train back to Hanoi.

Things to Bring:
Wear comfortable shoes and clothes suitable for activities such as riding in the sampan, walking, cycling and for long drives. Prepare for hot weather. Bring a hat/cap, sun screen, sun glasses, a swimsuit and insect repellent. The weather is normally hot from May to October particularly in Hanoi, Mai Chau, Ninh Binh and Halong Bay and in Cambodia is hot the whole year round.
You should bring cash with you, preferably in Vietnamese Dong because the banking system doesn’t always function well. US Dollars and Euro are accepted in many places too. You should bring your medications with you although there are pharmacies in both Vietnam and Cambodia, if you do get sick.
