Ho Chi Minh City tops the World Travel Awards as Asia's Leading Business Travel Destination for the third year, surpassing major cities
Ho Chi Minh City has achieved a significant milestone by being named "Asia's Leading Business Travel Destination" at this year's World Travel Awards, surpassing major cities like Singapore, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, and Beijing. This accolade marks the third consecutive year that the southern Vietnamese metropolis has earned this prestigious title.
The announcement was made during a ceremony held in the Philippines earlier this week. In addition to being recognized as the top business travel hub in Asia, Ho Chi Minh City was also honored as "Asia's Leading Festival & Event Destination."
The city’s impressive infrastructure, luxury accommodations, and high-quality services contribute to its status as a prime location for large-scale business events. According to Savills’ second-quarter report, Ho Chi Minh City’s inventory of three-to-five-star hotel rooms has expanded to 16,542 across 116 projects, reflecting a 6% increase from the previous year.
Established in 1993, the World Travel Awards are often referred to as the "Oscars of the travel industry." They celebrate excellence in the travel and tourism sector, with winners determined by votes from industry professionals and the general public.
Ho Chi Minh City's continued success in these awards underscores its growing prominence and appeal in the global travel and business community.
