Agoda survey reveals Vietnam as a top choice for repeat Indian travelers, praised for its cuisine, ease of travel, and affordability

Vietnam has emerged as a leading favorite among Indian travelers who are eager to revisit, according to a recent survey conducted by Agoda, the online travel platform. The survey, part of Agoda's "Return Visitor Ranking," highlights Vietnam's appeal, with 67% of Indian respondents expressing a desire to return to the country.

The survey, which gathered responses from over 4,000 participants across 10 markets including Indonesia, India, Japan, and South Korea, reveals that 58% of repeat travelers have visited their favorite destinations one to three times over the past decade. Vietnam, along with Thailand and Bali (Indonesia), has been identified as a top destination that Indian travelers are keen to revisit.

Krisha Rathi, Agoda's Director for South Asia and the Maldives, noted that these destinations offer more than just a trip; they provide experiences that travelers are eager to repeat. The survey underscores the importance of cuisine, ease of travel, and affordability as key factors influencing the decision to return. Additionally, friendly local hospitality plays a crucial role, with 30% of Indian travelers citing it as a major reason for their return visits.

For Asian travelers overall, Japan, Thailand, and Vietnam are also among the top destinations they wish to revisit, with ease of travel being a significant motivator for 44% of them.

The survey was conducted via the Agoda platform from August 1 to 19, highlighting Vietnam's strong position as a desirable repeat destination in the global travel landscape.
