Times of India highlights 8 must-visit destinations in Vietnam, including Ha Long Bay, Hanoi, Hoi An, Sa Pa, and the Mekong Delta. Times of India, the third-largest newspaper in India, has introduced eight popular destinations in Vietnam, including Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Ha Long Bay.

Ha Long Bay (Quang Ninh) - a UNESCO World Heritage site, is considered a jewel of northern Vietnam, according to Times of India. With its emerald waters and towering limestone pillars, the bay is a paradise for nature lovers and adventure seekers. Tourists can embark on cruises across the bay, gazing out at 1,600 islands of various sizes. The newspaper suggests activities like kayaking through hidden lagoons, exploring Sung Sot Cave, and relaxing on pristine beaches.

Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, is a vibrant city where ancient charm meets modern life. The Old Quarter, with its narrow streets and colonial architecture, evokes the country’s heroic past. The bustling markets, street food stalls, and the tranquility of Hoan Kiem Lake all add to Hanoi's allure.

Hue leaves a lasting impression on visitors with its ancient, majestic royal features. It houses an extensive complex of palaces, temples, and fortified walls that once served as the seat of the Nguyen Dynasty.

Hoi An has been recognized as one of the best-preserved ancient towns. Known for its lantern-lit streets, traditional wooden houses, and bustling markets, Hoi An offers a glimpse into Vietnam’s past. The third-largest Indian newspaper suggests that tourists visit the Japanese Bridge, stroll along the Thu Bon River, and sample local specialties like banh mi. Additionally, Hoi An is highly photogenic.

Ho Chi Minh City is Vietnam's largest and most dynamic city. Its bustling streets, towering skyscrapers, and vibrant nightlife offer a stark contrast to the country's historical landmarks. Major attractions include the War Remnants Museum, which provides deep insights into Vietnam's tumultuous past, and Notre-Dame Cathedral, a relic of French colonial architecture. Ben Thanh Market and Bui Vien Street are popular spots for shopping, dining, and experiencing the city’s energetic vibe.

Sa Pa, located in the northern highlands, is renowned for its terraced rice fields, rolling hills, and ethnic diversity. It's a paradise for hiking and outdoor enthusiasts, according to Times of India. In Sa Pa, visitors can explore local markets, trek through stunning valleys, and enjoy breathtaking views from Fansipan, Vietnam’s highest peak.

Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park (Quang Binh), another UNESCO World Heritage site in Vietnam, is famous for its extensive cave systems and stunning karst landscapes. The most famous attraction is Son Doong Cave, the largest natural cave in the world, recognized by Guinness World Records in 2013.

The Mekong Delta is recommended by Times of India as a destination offering a unique perspective on rural life along the Mekong River. Visitors can take boat tours through winding waterways, explore floating markets, and visit traditional villages. A highlight is the Cai Rang Floating Market, where trade takes place right on the boats.
