Halong Bay extends sightseeing hours to 8 PM from October 20, 2024, offering visitors more time to enjoy its famed sunsets and scenic beauty.
Starting October 20, 2024, visitors to Halong Bay will be able to extend their sightseeing hours until 8 PM, offering a chance to witness the stunning autumn sunsets over this UNESCO World Heritage site. The Halong Bay Management Board made the announcement, highlighting the enhanced experience for tourists during the autumn season.

The new schedule, in effect during the summer season (April 1 to October 31), allows boats to depart as early as 5:00 AM and return by 8:00 PM, compared to the previous 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM timetable. The winter season schedule (November 1, 2024, to March 31, 2025) will see boats departing at 5:30 AM and returning by 7:00 PM, extended from the current 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM timeframe.

Overnight boats on Halong Bay and Bái Tử Long Bay must still anchor at their designated resting areas by 6:30 PM in the winter and by 7:00 PM in the summer. Water sports activities will now begin at 5:30 AM and end by 6:30 PM, with the new schedule not applying to boats that do not carry passengers.

This extension of operating hours allows visitors to maximize their experience, enjoying the peaceful ambiance and breathtaking sunsets that make Halong Bay one of the top travel destinations in Asia.
