Introduction
The trip starts from Hanoi and leads you the ancient village of Duong Lam (60 km). However the highlight of the trip are Mù Cang Chải , a rural district of Yen Bai province and Sapa moutaint town.
This is the amazingly beautiful land with magnificent terraced fields such as Che Cu Nha, La Pan Tan and De Xu Phinh recognized as the National Heritage by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. In the recent years, Mu Cang Chai has been more famous for the Vietnamese and foreigners, especially attracts a large number of people who like taking photos. Sapa is well known as the town in mist, home of many beautiful hill tribes and stunning scenery.
Take the tour to witness terraced fields, enjoy fresh air, take nice and splendid photos. June/July/August/September are the finest months in Mu Cang Chai-Sapa and also the most attractive month for tourists and travelers.

Day 1:Hanoi-Ancient village of Duong Lam-Nghia Lo-200 km(B,L,D)
Drive to Duong Lam village (about 80 km), the purely agricultural village of the Northern Red River delta where still preserve many hundred-year-old houses. Then drive to visit Mia pagoda (another hamlet in Duong Lam village) built in 15th century and admire 287 statues of all sizes, among with are famous sculpture such as the statue of Buddha in the Himalayas and the statues of the Eight Vajra Deities. Lunch in the village. After lunch continue to drive to Nghia Lo, a town in Yen Bai province. Arrive in Nghia Lo in the afternoon. Visit Cang Don relic site. Dinner and night in Nghia Lo town.
Day 2: Nghia Lo-Mu Cang Chai-Sapa(B,L,D)
Leave Nghia Lo after early breakfast. Go on the 30-km dangerous and foggy pass of Khau Pha you will reach Mu Cang Chai, the amazingly beautiful land with magnificent terraced fields such as Che Cu Nha, La Pan Tan and De Xu Phinh. After lunch you will go through Lai Chau province blessed with mystical mountain, beautiful rivers and streams. Visit minority villages en route. Enjoy the landscape on O Quy Ho pass – the highest pass in Vietnam (2070 m). Arrive in Sapa late afternoon. Dinner and night in Sapa.

Day 3: Sapa Explore(B,L,D)
After breakfast visit Ham Rong mountain, viewing beautiful scenery of the town and surrounding area. Lunch at a restaurant. Afternoon you will be taken to Lao Chai village (Black H’Mong tribe), looking down the valley, viewing magnificent landscapes of high mountains, waterfalls and terraced rice paddies… Have a walk around Lao Chai village, learn more about the daily life here, and then have a 2km trek from Lao Chai to Ta Van village (Dzay tribe). Late afternoon drive back to Lao Cai for dinner and take night train back to Hanoi.
Day 4: Arrive in Hanoi
Arrive in Hanoi at early morning, End of the tour.

Trekking and Hiking in Sapa
Trekking is the main activity in Sapa. Trekking maps are available from the Tourist Information centre on Fansipan Street. These maps are invaluable if you want to trek around the area without a guide. They show the walking trails and trekking routes around town. Most hotels in Sapa offer tourists guided half-day and day long treks, but the best places to inquire about these treks are the travel agency, please contact Vietnam Exploration Booking Tours if you need more information!
While it is possible to go hiking around Sapa on your own, it's better to have the assistance of a guide to guarantee a more enriching experience. When it comes to longer treks or overnight stays in the villages, the knowledge of a local will come in handy.

Warm clothes, scarf, hat, cap because the weather in sapa is pretty unpredictable. It is normally cold in September, October, November, December , January, February and March .
Due to altitude of Sapa. It is sometimes foggy in December, January , February and March.
Trekking shoes, sun glasses, sun cream, insect repellent are also necessary. You should take cash with you in vietnam Dong because banking system in Sapa sometimes does not function well. Us Dollar, Euro, Australian Dolla are accepted in Sapa.
You shoule take medicine with you although there are some chemist’s shops in Sapa in case you get sick. Homestay’s facilities are not as in hotel in Sapa
